Introduction- Human Trafficking is 3rd largest
organised crime violating basic human rights. The Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and
Rehabilitation) Bill, 2018 was introduced in Parliament in 2018 as earlier
there was no rule to deal with Trafficking . The bill proposed stringent
punishment of 10 years to life imprisonment for aggravated forms of Trafficking.
What will be considered into Trafficking offences?
It includes buying/ selling of a person for the purpose of
bonded labour, bearing a child, giving chemical substances for hormonal growth,
and survivor acquire a life threatening disease like AIDS.
What will be new?
National Anti Trafficking Bureau - The agency will
