Controversy and charges against Naik

Later the scholar has clarified that the video of his speech on Osama Bin Laden was doctored. The Islamic preacher has also distanced himself from the controversial statement that “all Muslim should be terrorists”.
He has been accused that his speech inspired the terrorists who attacked the Dhaka restaurant in July 2016 that left 20 people dead.
Naik considered one of the most influential Salafi ideology preachers and his ideas have been severely criticized in India after Bangladesh terror attack.

What is Salafi- Ideologues?
The Salafi-jihad: Religion or Ideology?
According to Combating Terrorism Center, the Salafi-jihad is an ideology because its functions are essentially congruent with those of other ideologies. Analogous to the first, explanatory function of ideology, the Salafi-jihadists’ goal is to raise awareness among Muslims that their religion has been on the wane.
Whereas Islam used to be at its peak during the first centuries of its existence, Salafi-jihadists urge Muslims to understand that the tide has turned, and that Islam is in a constant state of decline in religious, political, military, economic and cultural terms.
Like all ideologies, Salafi-jihadists present a program of action, namely jihad, which is understood in military terms. They assert that jihad will reverse the tide of history and redeem adherents and potential adherents of Salafi-jihadist ideology from their misery.

Martyrdom is extolled as the ultimate way in which jihad can be waged—hence the proliferation of suicide attacks among Salafi-jihadist groups.
Similar to other ideologies, the Salafi-jihad sharply distinguishes between its adherents and those who reject its doctrines. Westerners are commonly described as infidels, while moderate Muslims and Arabs are labelled apostates. To the most extreme Salafi-jihadists, Muslims who reject the tenets of Salafi-jihad are tantamount to infidels, thus deserving of death.

Zakir Naik’s link in 2019 April’s terrorist attack in Sri Lanka

A suspect arrested by the National Investigation Agency from Kerala has admitted to be following Sri Lankan bomber Zahran Hashim. The Sri Lankan Cleric behind attacks in Colombo has radicalized several Indian youths in different parts of South India.
The Easter attacks in Sri Lanka claimed by ISIS, has resulted in death of over 250 people. The 29 year old Riyas A alias a native of plakkad in Kerala during interrogation disclosed that has been following speeches/videos of Zahran Hashim of Sri Lanka for more than a year and has also followed the speeches of Zakir Naik.
He admitted that he wanted to carry out a suicide attack in Kerala. The Sri Lanka’s major cable TV operators, Dialogue and SLT, have removed controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik’s Peace TV from their channel list. The move came after the deadly Easter attack.
Previously, UK and Canada, India and Bangladesh had also banned Peace TV which has often been used by ISIS recruiters for indoctrination and brainwashing.
For inciting religious intolerance and violent extremism, Naik’s talks and speeches had been declared ‘highly objectionable’ by the Government of India.
Naik’s controversial statements
According to Mr. Naik Islam is superior to all other faiths, and his followers openly preach it.  He even mentioned in his videos that non-Muslim should not be allowed to have places of religious worship in an Islamic country.
According to his reference, Muslims have the right to have sex with their female slave, and these ideologies remain very primitive.
He once in fact made a statement against the famous tennis player Sania Mirza for wearing sport dress. He wanted her to dress modestly while playing.
Naik stated that the girls shouldn’t be sent to schools where they lose their virginity by the time they pass out and school should be shut down. They should not be allowed to wear gold ornaments.
He also stated that in the west, people are selling their daughters and mothers in the name of women’s liberation.
Wife-beating in the Muslim world is not necessarily a bad thing. Naik says the use of condom during sex is akin to killing a human being.
Death by stoning of lapidation for having sex outside marriage is acceptable according to Sharia Law.
According to Quran and Sunnah, Naik says homosexuals should be killed. Further Naik says suicide attacks advised by clerics are not bad.
Muslim should seek help only from Allah and no one else, not even the prophet – a belief which supports the Sunni view. Islamic state has used this particular understanding to justify violence against SUFIS, SHIAS and AHMADIS, which are other sects of Islam.
There is hate speech case is still pending against Naik in Mumbai for denigrating Hindu Gods & Goddesses according to the Mumbai police.

Zakir Naik is not even a theologian. He’s an MBBS doctor-turned-Islamic preacher whose reputation rests on only his computer-like memory. Naik can quote verse after verse from the Quran, Bible, Gita and other just off his head.
His speeches are filled with pseudoscience, bogus philosophy, absurd arguments, false analogies, and above all, disrespect of other religions and cultures.
But as long as he’s citing chapter numbers and verse number, he keeps getting applause.
He should get caught and deserve harsh punishment for running a business in the name of God and keeping a massive chunk of black money.
He has been the main source of brainwashing youth and makes people fool by his pseudo- scientific statements. Such preachers should end up in jail n get life imprisonment so that innocent people would stop being a puppet of such hypocrite so-called scholars.
