  Emotional well-being is an essential and  part of anyone's life, and it can strongly impact your life, relationship, and your health. It is necessary to take care of your emotional health, manage several elements of your life, and work with a range of emotions without losing control over things and incidents. You eventually bounce back.

Life constantly gives events and challenges to you; however, when you know how to face or handle these obstacles with a flexible mindset, your ability to understand and confidence always help to get through any situation and strengthening your mind.

Having healthy emotional well-being is a fundamental aspect of fostering resilience, self-awareness, and overall contentment.

According to the Juli Fraga, psychologist - the two terms are often used interchangeably. Emotional Health focuses on being in tune with our emotions, vulnerability, and authenticity.

Having good emotional health doesn't mean you are always happy or free from negative emotions. It's about having the skills and resources to manage the ups and downs of day-to-day life.

What do you understand by emotional well-being?

The concept of emotional well-being is quite simple to understand; it is an ability to create positive emotions, moods, thoughts, and feelings and adapt when we are confronted with adversity and stressful circumstances.

Emotional well-being will always allow you to focus on the positive and manage the negative and stressful situations.

The basic one, if its foundation is resilience, allows you to navigate challenging life events. Think of resilience like a muscle. It flexes and develops the more you use it. Resilience impacts how you face challenges and how you think about the challenges you face.

It's important to understand that Emotional well-being allows you to focus on the positive and manage the negative emotions and feelings in a given situation. This might help you forge stronger relationships with those around you.

The positive sense of well-being enables an individual to function in society and meet the demands of everyday life. Well-being generally includes global judgments of life satisfaction and feelings ranging from depression to joy.

Why is emotional well-being important?

 Your flexibility always grows when you start to recognize the emotions that trigger you and express them in a constructive way to yourself and the people around you.

And when if we do not transform our pain, we will most assuredly transmit it – usually to those closest to us: our family, our friends, our neighbors, or co-workers, and invariably the most vulnerable, our children.

And when the transformation begins by observing and managing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, it will help determine the actions you take and change how you handle stressful situations and make decisions.

There are certain things that you can handle when you are emotionally healthy and positive:- 

- You will start receiving and offering feedback with a healthy perspective.

- You will start discussing difficult conversations with anyone.

- You will be able to establish stronger relationships because your level of understanding of emotions becomes stronger, some new traits in yourself – like – empathy, humor, and compassion. That's how your view yourself and others with less judgment.

How does Emotional Wellness play a role in your Mental HealthHealth?

According to the study, emotional valence reduces the occurrence of illness because the mind and body interact very closely; these two dimensions of wellness are deeply connected.

The Canadian Mental Health Association study says, "poor mental health is a risk factor for chronic physical conditions." And the connection between our mental HealthHealth and overall wellness is compelling, which is part of the fundamental reasons you must strive to maintain your emotional health.

How can you identify whether you are emotionally well or not?

Healthy and emotionally solid well-being mean you are prepared to handle events that may or may not be in your control. While facing a challenging situation, you might be one of these strategies to put yourself into a frame of mind that allows you to manage your emotions.

1 – YOU BREATH – when you breathe deeply, you send a message to your brain to calm down and relax.

2 - GROUND YOURSELF - hold a pen, grab the edge of a desk. Feel the floor under your feet. You return to the present moment and away from your challenging thoughts.

Now consider what exactly I want to say? 3 – AND TAKE A PAUSE – wait. When you the words and you can communicate, you are in a state of emotional well-being.

How can you improve your emotional well-being?

There are several ranges of emotions that might help you to manage and influence your emotional Health.

Set time for every little thing. 1 – Establish a Routine that balances the work you do with the life you want. Set small goals, indulge yourself in activities like cooking new dishes, and listen to music.

2 – Move your body, do some physical work every day for at least 90 minutes. Do yoga exercise, dance, get outside for a walk or visit some park,

3 – Connect with others, give time to your family and friends, keep checking those who support you and stand by you frequently, ask for help, and, very importantly, keep learning something out of your comfort zone. Spend time with people who respect you.

4 - Do something for others, help them in their wrong time, do something for others you know or don't know, for which you cannot be repaid. Do small bits of help. Always be grateful.

5 – Forgive others and forgive yourself because forgiveness frees you to keep your power and let go of the grudges. Forgiveness opens the path to live in the moment. Forgiveness allows for happiness and growth.

6 – Be kind to yourself – ask yourself what gives joy? What makes you happy?

Where are you at the most at peace? Take good care of yourself and your wishes. When you are kind to yourself, you will want to extend that kindness beyond yourself.

7 – Self-awareness, keep checking your thoughts, actions, habits, and characters traits that serve you well. And when you identify the spot that needs to change, be ready to simply know how to change or reset one of these things in yourself.
